The tranny and rear axle ratios are the same, for the equivalent models.

M6:

All M6's are 2.66/1.78/1.30/1.00/0.74/0.50

All M6's come with a 3.42:1 rear axle ratio (GU6)

A4:

All A4's trannies are:

3.06/1.63/1.00/0.70

A4's came with a 2.73:1 rear (GU2) as the base model (Z28, Formula, T/A) and a 3.23:1 rear (GU5) when the "performance rear axle" package was ordered. 1994 was a bit of an oddball for the T/A, since there was a "base" T/A with only the 2.73's available, and an uplevel T/A GT that only came with 3.23's.

You can check your rear axle ratio on the build tag (door or glove box) by looking for the GU# code.
