Hello everyone, just sharing my experience with DEQ/smog yesterday. I went to the location in Gresham yesterday to renew my registration on 95 Z28 and for the first time the tech did the sniffer test, walked around the car with mirrors to look underneath and finally had me hit the throttle to check for smoke. In the 15 years I've been up here, it's always been plug in under dash and that's it. This particular car has been through DEQ twice before without all the extra attention. Fortunately the mac mids, magnaflow catback/exhaust, Wong's tune, cat still in place, no smoke gave no reason for concern and i passed etc. Just wondering if this was just a random tech being thorough or? I'm good another 2 years
