exhuast options

I am currently running all stock exhaust, cat and manifold and was looking at buying LT headers and a Y- pipe, but what should I put after the Y-pipe I want to take the cat out, what are my options for exhaust... oh and I don't have to worry about emissions.
thanks

year car would help, as well as current and future mods/goals.

there are dozens of catback exhausts on the market.

for inexpensive you can't go wrong with the magnaflow or hooker
more expensive and made of stainless would be borla and GMMG (there are others too).

how must of been a long day for me, my car is 95 camaro z28, I was thinking of not having a cat at all because of hp loss and i dont need it just wondering what the best system would be to put after a set of headers and off road Y pipe? thanks

i would go with a 3in back since most y-pipes are 3in anyways.

Your cat is not reducing the HP significantly, unless you're running a blower, turbo or nitrous. On a "stockish" engine, it doesn't hurt anything.

Next question - what, if any mods to you have right now (using a "signature" eliminates the need for this question), and what are your long range goals for the engine? And, what is your budget? You can dump up to $2K on a set of high-end Kooks 1-7/8" long tubes, custom Y-pipe and true dual exhaust, or you can spend a fraction of that with other systems.

There is no engine performance gain from removing AIR and EGR. Neither of those systems operates at WOT. You'll save a few #'s but thats it.
