Not sure if it was T/A only, but it was a Pontiac only thing.

i remember reading about this a while back, and IIRC, camaro's have either the wiring for the switch, or the PCM has a pin for it. so theoretically you could rig up the same switch on a camaro, or a formula (if it's a T/A only feature).

My formula has it, so its not a T/A only thing.

It was a pontiac thing, camaros have the tables in the PCM for the performance shifting also, but you need a pushbutton to activate it. The wires are on a pair of connectors in the passenger side kick panel.

I think bret franker has the write up on how to do it, including an LED to see whn its activated, simple stuff if I remember correctly

Thumbs down

I can't find the wiring diagram for this on your site shoebox... I have a 95 Z and I NEED to find a way to disable that powe robbing system that it has. i love having it for wet weather but not all the time and NOT for launches. I have been screwed in races due to that crap too much to ever deal with again.

You're asking about the traction control system, and everyone else is talking about a shift "performance" button. The TCS system has a button to turn it off..... might explain why you can't find a wiring diagram.

Generally better to start your own thread than to highjack someone else's.

If you don't have a button, you don't have TCS. You would need hudreds of dollars of additional parts to add TCS to your car. Most people that have it, disable it .

are you sure your not callin the "low Traction" light Traction control? When I first got my car my eye went streight to where I knw the TCS button to be and it wasnt... but when I turned the key to on and all the guage lights lit up it said "LOW TRACTION" and i thought wtf, i dont have it... Turned out to be ABS.

I still have yet to do this switch mod I cant find a switch I like :P
