optima battery Red or Yellow

I've got 4 Red tops, 1 ina daily driver, and 2 in cars that sit for long periods of time, but the battery is disconnected...I did have one go dead in less than a year and they replaced it free.
Never had another problem with the reds so far and I've had then 2-3 years.

I also have a Red top and a yellow top in my boat. The yellow top powers the stereo when the boat is parked...YES, the RED TOP does not like powering things when the engine is off!
And I don't have a Marine Blue top battery because my boat is driven more than most of my cars

I have a red top it was only use a couple of months but has been sitting for a year and a 1/2. If anyone wants it just pay shipping I can't get the damn thing to hold a charge! Maybe it needs a trickle charger I don't know, I'm going back to good old Die Hard.

Sounds like the story of my red-top. I ended up using it as a core for a brand new Delco battery.
