Old gas still good?

Old gas still good?

Another question


so the gas has sat for 3 years or so, when I get my key and everythign in order will the engine fire with this old gas or will it need to be drained?

drain it.

pull the fuel filter and just turn the ignition on. should pump it out.

save it an use if for cleaning stuff

Did you use a gasoline stabilizer before you put it in storage? If not, drain it as noted in the post above. Don't let it circulate through the system at all. Its not going to be good for anything in the system. Could be "gummy" after all that time.

Nope, no stabilizer. This is something I'll let a mechanic do, just been chipping away at things the car needs done to get it running.
