I use 5 quarts of Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W30, at about $6/quart.

Re: Oil

That question always brings different answers, and usually an argument or two. Just search for "best oil" or something like that. You should also search around over here: http://theoildrop.server101.com/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi as these guys have more info than you'll find on this board.

Re: Oil

I did a poll a looooong time ago about this.

I found that most people around here use Mobil 1 Syn 5W30.

It was somewhere around 45% of us.

We should get a freakin group discount on that stuff!

Re: Oil

I use Pennzoil Platinum full synthetic 10w30. I am very happy with it, and it is one of the few synthetics (at least that I know of), that has a seal conditioning agent to help against leaks. You can buy a 5 quart jug at wally world for less than $20, which is what many shops will charge you for a conventional oil change.

Re: Oil

I have been using the 0w30 german castrol sythetic, but I noticed the color has changed recently, so I do not know if that reflecting a change in the formula. I'll probably go back to Mobil, maybe 10w30 b/c its hot here in texas.
