Re: a noob question about tail lights

pull the carpet back and loosen the plastic wing nuts.. that'll allow the light to drop out...

Re: a noob question about tail lights

Pop the hatch, pull down the carpeting behind the taillights, there should be 6 plastic wingnuts holding the tailight in place, take those off the taillight thats out and pull the taillight off.

Welcome to CamaroZ28.com.

Please review the list of available forums, and post according to your topic. For example, "taillights" don't belong in "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech". I'll move it to "General F-Body Tech....." for you.

Shouldn't have to pop the entire light off, the bulb pops out from behind.

You do have to remove the entire light housing from the car. As stated, plastic wingnuts behind the carpet and trim.

Well, I suppose you could take a hammer, smash the tail light and then change the bulb through the broken gash.
