New tranny turning off the car.

Got another tranny in the t/a and when you put it in drives it turns of the car. What could be wrong

sounds to me like torque convertor but really just a shot in the dark with out more info on the car and what all happened towards having to put a new tranny in.

could be a lot of things.... your car might be dieing under load...
