Re: need fuel pump help
You can get a fuel pump under $200.00 the reason your looking at $330 is because they are trying to sell you the complete module which is a plastic tank with the fuel pump and sending unit all together, you can unsnap the module and just replace the pump. Get a new sock for it too, they are only $5 bucks. I install performance LT1 pumps in them but search around some different parts places for a pump until you find one, try www.rockauto.com or even www.nopi.com
Re: need fuel pump help
I can't imagine how a problem can be in sending unit. Had simular situation with my (sold) Crown Victoria, except that pump finally went out ~150 miles from home. Assembly was like $250-300 in autoparts stores, I bought just a pump for $50 off ebay, put it in old sending unit, problem solved.
