Mystery Markings

Hey everybody, first forum post😃😃. Anywho, I have an 01 Ss, 6 speed car. On the rear bumper you can faintly see the remnants of the parking #0737. Does anybody have an idea of what this could be? It's on the right side of the car. Where the SS badge should be

Re: Mystery Markings

To me it just looks like scratches. Maybe where an old Z/28 logo was if it’s not the original panel.

It looks that way in the pictures, due to my sugar photography skills. When you look at it in the light you can see a clear outlone of the #0737

Re: Mystery Markings

It could be a custom sticker someone had for the SS number. SLP used to be able to tell you based on VIN, but I believe that information is no longer available.

I just tried the SLP link I saved for doing this. It is still up and running. May help someone looking for this type of information.

Re: Mystery Markings

Fortunately, when SLP sold the Performance Parts portion of their business to Roush, Ed and Dave Hamburger, the founders of SLP kept the “Specialty Vehicle Engineering” portion of the business, now doing business as SVE. SLP had built 55,000 “specialty vehicles” for GM through 2002. Appears SVE has retained control of this important database.
