my new camaro...help me with some questions please
Ok guys I just bought a 2002 Camaro SS blk/blk with only 10,000 miles...ok guys I want to get to the track to test it out but I need to know where I should be...its a auto with SLP exhaust, auburn unit, it also has the L3 suspension which i heard is rare and real good i dont know though, its putting out 345 stock..all slp was installed by the factory...and how do I shut off the traction control? I was hoping around 13.3 with a good day, is that realistic. I also saw on the slp site a camshaft that will take off .3 or .4 off my 1/4 mile, any have any opinions there? Well guys any help here would be appreciated. Also any idea for some starter mods would be great...
thanks Joe

Check on www.ls1tech.com and you may get a lot more info as far as camshafts. You will be able to get much better camshafts from companies other than SLP. HPE, APE and Futral Motorsports all great cams for the LS1 cars. Do a search on LS1tech.com in the dyno section and you will find a lot of info on cam dyno numbers. Many stock LS1 cars have run high 12's to low 13', so a 13.30 would not be that far off.

To turn off the traction control, just press the ASR switch on the dash, and the "ASR Off" Light will come on, on the guage cluster. Make sure it is off before you get the burn out box
Also, the car should be cabable of a 13.3, but since this sounds like your first time at the track, you might not be able to run that time. Remember, practice will make perfect. Thread
