what exaclty is the benefit of changing to the lt4 knock module/sensor?

 

It is less sensity to the noises made by louder valvetrain. If you switch to roller rockers they may make more noise making the LT1 module think the engine is knocking, which retards the timing. If you switch to an LT4 it will ignore the valvetrain noise, or any other noise like it so you can maintain timing and power.

 

And you only change the knock module. There is no unique "LT4 sensor".
