Lt1 To A Ls1 -- Need Help

Not sure if I'm in the right thread or not. But I have a 94 camaro z28 with the lt1 engine. I wanted to put a ls1 engine in - Is there any modification needed?? Will it bolt directly up to everything -- What do I need to make this work - Mike

Probably best to post this on "General F-Body Tech & Info"... so I'll move it there for you. A "search" might answer some of the questions, since its been discussed before.

This same topic was recently discussed (although the guy who posted the question didn't realize at the beginning the extent of his question!).

...read TABAHR's post (post #15) ... he lists everything you'd need to do.

IMO, unless you've either got A) a lot of time and money on your hands, or B) too much currently invested in your car that you can't fathom putting money into another car, I would personally recommend selling your '94 and buying a '98+ LS1 car IF YOU WANT THE LS1, or just build your LT1. LT1's are great engines, and there's a ton of aftermarket for them. An LT1 -> LS1 swap hardly seems worth it in a '93 - '97 F-body.
