Ls1 distributor

Im too lazy to search so....
I know the ls1 dropped the optispark, but what replaced it, where did it get relocated to and does anyone have pics?

Each cylinder has its own coil eliminating the distributor.

The coils sit on top of the valve covers.

Truely "distributorless" - cam and crank position sensors feed the PCM. The PCM has an 8-channel ignition driver to fire the 8 individual coils. I'm running a similar setup on my LT1, using only the optical sensor in the Opti to feed an aftermarket ECU with an 8-channel driver.
