Re: Show me ur clearance (LTheaders)

My Formula sat really low from the factory. I lifted it one inch (with stock springs from a 99 Trans Am) and then installed the headers.

My problem with ground clearance wasn't the headers themselves, it was the y-pipe. I only had 3.5" between the ground and the y-pipe at it's lowest point.

I had the y-pipe adjusted and welded closer to the floor, that gave me almost another inch of clearance, then I installed some QA1's and brough the front down a bit to give the car a little bit of rake. I'm now back to 3.5" clearance.

Sorry, I don't have any pics, but I'll get some here soon.

yeah most of teh time is teh y-pipe that hangs low,

i would post some pics of mine but i dont think it would show true to jethot since i had to do some modifications and im not happy with it , it hangs relly low and i know i can get an inch or more back with more modification (i had to bend the header down and they went to far)

by all means jethots are great headers great clearance but it was a shop idiotism that made the clearanc so ****ty

but yea post pics
