Kinda simple question involving the AC system

The AC tensioner pulley on my car is squeling so until I get it fixed I have just removed the AC belt. I rarely use it.

Now I have noticed that when ever you turen the AC on the cooling fans come on (for the AC condenser). I wanted to know if turning on the AC (with the belt removed) so I can have manual fans (sorta) can damage anything? I know it engages the clutch on the AC compressor. Will that burn out? Is anything else engaged when the AC system is turned on? I dont planb on having it this way for long but if I do this now will I break anything?

Sorry if this seems like a stupid idea, I was just curious

I dont think it will hurt anything but you can Disconnect the plug on the side of the compressor and it will stop it from coming on.

If the compressor is low on refrigerant it will not engage, and therefore not burn up. If it is topped off then it will still engage.
