Just a T-Top Question.

yes you can do a t top convertion. cut the roof panel off to expose the pre existing "t bar" then it's a matter of installing all the parts. if you do a search you would probably come up with some good info. i believe it can be done by a fairly competent person so as long as your confident you have a steady hand to cut the roof you should be good to go, but I will let those who have done it elaborate for you.

To "swap the two roofs", you would have to strip the interior of both cars, remove the composite plastic roof panel from both cars, remove the windshields from both cars, use a torch to cut the roof steel off the rest of the chassis, then switch the steel roof section, properly align the steel and weld it to the other chassis, then reinstall all the parts like the composite plastic roof panel, the t-top assembly, windshield, interior, etc. When you were all done, you would have done about 10X the work required to do what is shown in the "link" we posted.
Did you take the time to look at the linked procedure? If so, you would understand why its easiest to just follow the procedure. You can't just swap the composite roof panel and the T-tops.... there is steel in the way in the roof sub-structure of the non T-top car.
