How to quiet interior plastic rattles and vibes

The interior in my car is really starting to get noisy. Over time the plastic has worn down to the point where it doesn't hold as tight and is starting to rattle and vibrate. I don't want to replace all the plastic in my interior for a while and was wondering if there's anything on the market or if anyone has come up with any solutions to making all those noises go away.

So far I went to the hardware store and bought some industrial velcro to try and stop the vibrations but the adhesive wouldn't stick to the plastic. I also bought some firm and soft foam weather stripping so at least when it vibrates it will be quiet. The firm stuff didn't really work because I couldn't get the panels down all the way so they wouldn't line up. Still haven't tried the softer stuff yet but if that doesn't work I'm out of ideas.

I ordered a new kick panel that goes under the steering column and it had this felt stuff on it. Does anyone know where I can get some of this? It seems like it would quiet things down perfectly.

Use an adhesive spray or double sided tape, and check out the fabric stores for head liner cloth... Its usually thicker than regular cloth... Or look for different thickness foam pads at hardware, craft, and hobby stores...

You might have to rough up the back side for the adhesive to stick... I've even use clear adhesive silicone...

You should be able to pick up some adhesive backed felt from a hobby store as well. And some of the really thin stuff you might be able to wedge in the mounting points with the tabs as well to tighten things up.

You need to clean the plastic with solvent before you use any adhesive.
I would think a few small dabs of clear RTV would work also.
