hose missing?

hose missing?

i have a 94 camaro z28 with the lt1. i noticed on the throttle body underneath the cold air intake that there is a hose missing its on the drivers side of the throttle body does any body know where that goes to? i looked on the diagram on the shroud and it doesnt show it?

The bottom plate on the throttle body has two hose connections for coolant. GM provided coolant to the throttle body to prevent "throttle body icing" in extreme cool weather. Since no one has ever experienced throttle body icing in an LT1, at least not outside the Arctic Circle, its a common practice to remove the coolant from the throttle body, and pick up a dyno-proven 6 HP. In the 93-94 models, this is accomplished by pulling the two hoses off the throttle body, and connecting them together with a 3/8" hose barb.

Diagram of the 93/94 coolant routing - courtesy of Shoebox. I suspect the nipple that you are seeing without a hose is the one that connects to part #13 in the diagram. There is a corresponding fitting on the the other side of the bottom plate.
