High Output alternator problem

I just ordered a 200 amp alternator for my 2001 Z28... The 2 amps killed the first one. The problem I'm having is that I have researched a bit and it seems I need to upgrade the power wire to a 4 gauge. I have called several parts stores and can't come up with one. I guess when buying a brand new alternator it probably comes with it, but I'm having one built and the shop has nothing to do with the cables.... Where can I get something like this? And is it straight cable, fused, etc? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Justin

Re: High Output alternator problem

Go to a reputable car stereo shop and get some 1/0 or 2/0 gauge power cable and the cable ends you need.
Stinger, and StreetWires are good brands to buy.

Probably would have been a good post for the "Car Audio and Electronics" forum......
