Re: High Flow cats

Might want to clarify....

-What year is your car? (Add a "signature" with year of car, trans type and major mods, so people don't have to ask )

-"Stock headers" is confusing.... stock "manifold" or aftermarket "headers"? With stock manifolds, (93-95) the cat generally connects to the Y-pipe, and it is welded; (96/97) the drivers cat bolts to the manifold and the passenger cat is welded to the Y-pipe.

With headers, there may or may not be a Y-pipe involved, and the connection can be bolted or welded.

Re: High Flow cats

Like Injuneer said, you might want to clarify some stuff, but this might help:

I had a 3" catback on my car, the rest of the exhaust was stock. I had two 3" hi-flow cats I wanted put on, and the only way the driver's side cat would fit was if it were moved lower and about a foot back from its stock location (just inside of the driver's side jack plate). This required a custom Y-pipe, but everything fits fine now, and I still have my stock exhaust manifolds. Maybe that will help...

I was able to get around the drivers side issue by using these mini-cats, it wedged right into the drivers side and the passenger side was a breeze. No need to modify my y-pipe.

Plus, they are stainless steel and I got a pair for 140.00 plus free shipping.
