help troubleshoot starting problem
so sometimes when I go to start my car I turn the key and nothing happens, I try again and still nothing. I let the key rest at the on position for a few seconds then turn it again a little more slowly and it starts right up. Its not VATS cause theres no security light, I dont think its my starter cause i just replaced it last fall and it still turns strong. At this point it still starts the first time more than it doesnt but I have a feeling its just going to get worse. Anyone have any clue as to what I should look for?
I had a similar prob for a while that got progressively worse. In time in did not start more times than starting.
After going thru starters and checking wires and even hooking up a "hot start" wire to the batt, I had to take it to the dealer. They fixed some sort of "return ground" to the computer. I dont have a clue where it was, but maybe someone will chime in with the answer to that.
