The rear hatch on my T/A for some reason is not locking I pressed on the yellow button to release it and pressed it on my alarm all I hear is the electricity go all the way to the back but I dont hear the buzzing sound for releasing the hatch. Now my hatch wont even lock. Whenever I come up to a bump my hatch would lift a little and the interior lights would go on. Can this be due to the locking mechanism taking a dump? or is it an electrical problem? Need help ASAP!!!!!

 

That's happened to me on my camaro before...but mine is older so I don't know if this will do the trick...I replaced my gas shocks for the hatch so they were really strong, and then the hatch lock started to go like you said...what I did was take your finger (or a screw driver if you dont wanna get pinched) and start poking around down where the mechanism is...when I did it, I hit a lever that made it rise back up...i dunno if thats anything like your problem but it might help
