Which fuel pump is easy and cheap?

I need to get a new fuel pump and want something that will be basically plug and play. I am pretty mechanically inclined so I should have no problem with it. I just want something reliable and easy to install. I don't need anything for high horsepower because I am basically stock. Thanks guys.

You should google Walbro's website and get their intank 255lph. Its probably about $115 shipped or something and supports good hp. Walbro is a good brand and I believe that they are used in many Fords Lightnings, Cobras, etc.
You guys dropping the tank or cutting thru the metal?
I cut thru the metal on mine, now swaps take 20 min and the carpet covers it.

Another vote here for the Walbro pump, a 125 bucks or a little less can snag you one.

I installed a Walbro 255 and had to carve up the fuel bucket to make it fit. If I was to do it again, I would go the Racetronix's route. It's worth a few more dollars to keep the fuel bucket intact and upgrade the wiring.

The Racetronic kit uses a Walbro 255. You do have to do a small mod to the bucket. Basically by carefully prying off the bucket top, then cutting 2 ribs out of it, which is easily done with a pair if wire cutters or a dremmel. There are instructions on this with the racetronic kit.

Re: Which fuel pump is easy and cheap?

The Racetronix Walbro pump is modified to fit the bottom strainer basket on the stock bucket. A stock Walbro doesn't fit the strainer. The bucket modifications with the Racetronix setup is some slight shaving of some support ribs inside the bucket.

Even easier if you chop the top over the tank like I did. Well worth it my second pump install.
