When I bought my car it had the single inlet ,single outlet Flowmaster.With three inch pipe from converter back. Whats the purpose of the single outlet? Wouldn't dual outlet give better flow? How much louder would the dual outlet be?

 

I forget the actual specs but im pretty sure that one 3" pipe will flow the same as 2 2.25" pipes. A car that has a single outlet and single inlet isnt really hurting horsepower. Looks at lt1's factory. I believe they have a single 2.5" pipe. And then goes into 2 outlets. I dont know if the sound or horsepower would change if you went to a dual outlet. Im sure the pitch would change some but I dont know how it would effect it

 

All F-bodies came from the factory with a single pipe (I-pipe) running back from the convertor. They're not true dual exhaust cars.
