Yes. Thats how I got my pull out, still on the mounts, just disconnected the k member and lifted the car off the engine/trans and put it on a pallet.

Here is the easiest way possible. First ajck it up and put a cart or dolly under neath it, something that is low enough to the ground to give you clearance, but high enough to touch the k member. then just look for everything that is connected to teh body around the engine and disconnects it. things like throttle cables, brake lines (from the solenoid), fuel lines,driveshaft, shift linkage, sterring linkage, etc.. unbolt the k member from the car, use a cherry picker to lift up the front of the car, and slide out the entire engine and tranny setup out along with teh suspension. i pulled everything out from one car and had it bolted back into another car in less than 2 hours.

I just had my motor pulled by a local speed shop. They told me the only way they pull any motor on an Fbody is from the bottom since it is much easier. I figure they would know since they do it all the time.
