fan blower motor

my fan (blower) motor makes noise, it's not very loud but annoying - do I have to get a new motor or can it be cleaned ??? Is it possible that debris/leaves are in there ???

thanks

Yes, sometimes leaves and stuff can get in there. It is also possible that a little oil on the motor will quiet it if it is squeaking (fixed a squeak on my wife's GP that way).

Re: fan blower motor

Thanks.... how easy or how difficult is it to get to it ? I saw a new Siemens motor for $60 at AutoZone..... I'll try to fix it first before I replace it, the Z will make it just fine all the way (3 miles) to AutoZone without the blower motor in place....LOL... just in case I need a new one

It's not squeeking, it sounds more like leaves are in there.... it still blows air, can't complain about that... it still works fine, it's just making that noise that drives me nutz....
