Dyno Tune Cost....

Just wondering what some of you have paid in the past to have your car dyno tuned. Also if you know any places good in FL, that would great also. Thanks for any replies.

I called someone and they said like $1000. I'm sure you could get one cheaper.

$1000!!

Look in the regional section, alot of times they will have a "group" dyno tune day. There is on in the Northeastern section now if there is 7+ cars is $250.

Here TEA does a full dyno tune for around $400. If your car is mostly stock they told me they could do it for $150-200.

The first time it was tuned Ed Wright did it. It cost a flat rate of $550 and he spent all day on tuning. Had mechanical problems, and the tune didn't come out quite "right".

The second time around we decided to tune it ourselves- and was given a rate of $120 an hour to use a dyno. We spent several hours on it and the guy gave us a HUGE discount.

Still needs more tuning/dyno time though.

That 7+ for $250 is only for 86-93 guys because we use chips.

94+ LT1's are going to be $200 plus dyno time, which is down to <$100 a person now.

I'm the POC for that above mentioned dyno tune day.

Thumbs up Re: Dyno Tune Cost....

My dyno tune was $647 dollars, the tuner went through the entire PCM, and my vehicle was on the dyno for 6 hours. I needed extensive work due to a higher stall, and lower rearend gears. My shift points (A4) was one of the issues, also my WOT was lean (15.2) from the factory, it was changed to 13.5. All my smog parameters stayed the same.
