i just installed a driveshaft for my 87 iroc...i changed out the stock drive shaft for a aluminum one out of a 97 camaro.... the new one is about a 1/2 inch shorter will this make a difference...will this damage anything???

 

Is it really shorter overall or just have a different length yoke at the transmisison end? The different yoke length is common.
