What year is your car? On my 95 Z28, the base of the arms have a plastic cover that pivots up; exposing a hex nut to remove.

Use a battery terminal puller.

Yep, or a wiper arm puller. Not being sarcastic, just in case wherever you go only his one or the other.

Re: How do you remove the wiper arms?

The best way to get them off is with a battery or wiper arm puller. Now you can also get them off by tapping on the stud with a hammer. Just be carefull and dont miss. You will end up doing what I did and smash your windshield! The worst part is that the puller is about $10 at any local auto parts store. I already have one but it was 11:00 at night and I left mine at work. I didnt want to wait untill monday and ended up costing myself more money for being impatient...

Battery terminal pullers are usually pretty cheap and universally found at auto parts stores.
