Drain fuel tank

I was not able to find any threads that discussed on how to go about this.

How would I drain the tank?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Fuel Pump Method

Ijust bought a cheap external electric pump..like from a 85 cutlass and put rubber hoses on both ends of it. Simply connect it to your battery and drain out your tank via the longer rubber hose. Just a method I use.

1. Pull the 3/8 pressure line off fuel rail. 2. Clamp hose to it and route to a container. 3. Put 12 volts on Fuel pump test connector.

Hey guys, I really appreciate the feedback.

Rudedog your method sounds easiest. But I wonder, wouldn't that be kind of hard of the fuel pump?

Won't be hard on the pump until it runs dry...... then you have a problem.

Simplest way is to push a hose down the fill pipe and siphon it out. I've done that several times on my 94.

I think there is an anti-siphon in the fill pipe. I tried to stick a hose down there once and it wouldn't go all the way to the tank.

Not easy, but it worked on mine. Hose went right to the bottom of the tank.

I've tried a few times with a small hose and wasn't able to get it to go in there.

Try using a stiffer hose. I used the same method above to siphon all the gas out before I dropped the tank and it worked just fine.
