i am having trouble tracking down where the vac line goes that comes out of the bundle with the fuel lines. i have no clue what it controls either so don't know what to call it

 

The line bundled with the fuel supply and return lines is the EVAP purge line from the canister to the EVAP purge solenoid on a bracket on the passenger side of the intake manifold. It can vary by year, so you are going to have to start adding a "Signature" with basic info about your car, if you expect people to help you. I know I have suggested this to you several times in the past. People should not have to guess that you have a 4th Gen and what year it is.
