Can Truck PULL my 94 Camaro??

Hey Fbods wassup. Just wondering. IF anyone can relate to this or know the answer to this. I have a 98 Ford Ranger XLT with Extra Cab. (Daily Driver) its a 4 Banger. Has pretty good torque. Just wondering on 14's RIms do you think my Truck could Tow my Camaro on a Flat bed. Etc... Thanks
Chris
P.S. this answer well tell me to put the 410 gears in my A4 or just put back in the stock Gears until I move out. Cuase If my truck can tow it. THen Il put the 410 gears in. Thanks

I doubt it. What's the max trailer load rating on the truck? I doubt its the 5,000# that you need. I have a 2001 Silverado with the 4.8L LS1-derived V8, a very light open deck trailer and a 3,450# car, and I wouldn't want any less power than that to tow the whole thing. The Silverado is rated at 7,000# towing capacity, because it has 3.73 gears, an A4 and a plastic stepside short-bed.

a friend of mine has a 96 ranger, auto, 4 banger...he rented a trailor to tow his motorcycle and a friends motorcycle to the track.

they said max speed was 75 mph, and that was all the way to the floor, and going up hills was next to impossible.

both those bikes together weigh less than 1000 pounds.

Aight. That answers my questions. Its NOt gonna pull it. I mean it will pull it. But ILL prolly throw a ROD in the process. Not sure if anyone of you live in Cali or been out this way. But from Cali to Las Vegas theres a Big LONG AZZ HILL that goes for at least 4 miles up. Going from 2000ft to 4000ft. Just outside of Baker. I doubt if it can pull it. Thanks
Chris
Looks like im putting back the stock gears for now.
Untlil I get Settled. Thanks

yea man thatwould be the best idea. are you moving? u might want to borrow a truck from a bud or somethign with more power/torque and a higher towing capacity. but dont try it cuz you will prolly cause some damage.

I have no doubt you can get it moving but stopping will be much more of a problem. A friend defiant of my advice tried to rent a car dolly to tow a Monte Carlo with a 91 toyata pickup. The rental company would not rent it to him.
