Can anyone help me identify my car?
Ran the vin, it seems like just a normal z28 to me judging by vin decoders I found.
I am not too sure, but would it be possible for my 93 Z28 to be a 1le? I ran a search on the forums, and pulled up the article on 1le's off the fbodyfaq's site, and it appears that for 93 model year, my Z has all the noticeable options, based on what I can see from where the car sits now (ie- can not see shocks/lettering//names on the shocks) for the 1le.
I only ask because today while driving around town, my buddy who owns a 94 z28 commented today that my car has a much more stiff and harsh ride compared to his.
Another question; did z28's come with blue brake pads in 1993? Because I have blue pads and can't tell if they are performance pads or what, but my brakes feel very tight as well.
Any insight? Any way to tell if maybe I have the 1le? or was it truly a very rare option to get and I am just too optomistic?

edit: the original owner of the car did nothing to the car except added a chip.

There's no such thing as being an idiot by asking a question you don't know the answer to.
RPO codes are GM codes that specify the different options on their cars. Just do search on Yahoo for "RPO Codes" and you'll see a bunch of sites explain/listing the codes.
Here's one I found when I search under "RPR Codes 1LE"...some guy's 98 Z28.
http://chuckb.1le.net/archive/past_c...rpo_codes.html
This will show you what the sticker looks like. Should be on your driver side door near the latch or inside the glove compartment.
You can also go to this site:
http://www.f-body.org/tech/
On bottom right, click on "Fourth Generation". Then on the left, click on "RPO Codes".

Re: Can anyone help me identify my car?
Great, excellent information/sites. I just got in, I'll check for the codes tomorrow morning.
Dropping off the Z for its second and final fix before she passes the MD state inspection (picked up driver's rear tire today); the highbeams will not come on because the clip is broken on the lever/inside the steering wheel. Turns out I have a relative who is a GM repairman/technician, so she gets dropped off tomorrow and will be certified inspected on Friday.
Finaly, perma-tags!
Anyways, i appreciate the info on the 1le packages, I'll reply when/if I find out.
Thanks again!
