Re: Camaro body work

And what part are you calling the "sail panel"? The roof?

Re: Camaro body work

The sail panel is the interior piece with the speaker grille beside the rear seat.

If you are referring to the exterior roof panel (assuming you mean exterior, because you say "body work"), it has to be cut off. The composite panel is glued with urethane adhesive to the metal roof structure.

Go to the top of the page and click on "User CP" on the drop down menu click on "Edit Signature". There you can add the year/make/model of your car and a short discription of any mods.
What's the problem? Why do you need to remove the roof panel?

Re: Camaro body work

And of course the roof panel is different, depending on whether you have T-tops or not.

Re: Camaro body work

The factory manual has drawings showing where to cut the roof to remove it without destroying any of the underlying structure (or you can make some trial cuts). Of course, the roof panel will be destroyed-there is no other way. I think a pneumatic cutting tool is normally used. You can generally find used manuals on Ebay or other online resellers of used manuals.
