Brake Lights not working

Details:
-Lights worked before an engine rebuild. Didn't really fool with the trunk area during the rebuild. Speculate someone wasn't plugged back in correctly.
-headlights work
-all four blinkers work
-reverse lights work
-when the dash light is on the brake lights are on (low setting)
-when I push the break pedal, none of the three brake lights come on.
- I have replaced the plunger at the pedal and had no luck

Any ideas?

Re: Brake Lights not working

sounds like a ground issue is the brake light comes on in some form when the wrong thing is turned on. just a thought.
