Battery Light When Raining!
This doesnt pertain to my camaro however it pertains to my fiances 2002 Alero. It seems that whenever it rains and shes driving, her battery light will come on outta nowhere and stay on for quite some time. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Somethings getting wet obviously. Should we be concerned about this so I can fix it?
Thanks guys

Re: Battery Light When Raining!
It could very well be a somewhat weak battery, since when it rains you turn on your wipers and most likely the heater/blower to keep the windows from fogging up....you have more battery drain.
Or, it could be a faulty battery sensor, either too sensitive or the rain could be causing a short/false signal. Just locate the components involved with the battery, battery volt sensor, and see if there's water getting in it.

What's Up 1TUFFZ!
Not too familiar with the N car setup for the Olds, but I thought most readings are taken on the alternator, not the battery. As the load increases, it gets weaker and weaker. Auto Zone can do a free test for you. I have done the alternator on my 96 Grand Am, but not sure how access is on the 99 and up cars.

Re: Battery Light When Raining!
Maybe the belt slips due to the rain getting on it.
Not an LT1 question, so this needs to be moved..... not an F-Body question, so its always a problem figuring out where it belongs. Let's try "General F-Body Tech & Info"...... the only other alternative it the Lounge.
