Battery drain problem

Well i have found one of my drains on my battery in my 1980 Z28. It is the ctsy/clock fuse. Which I assume are the interiior lights when you open the door and the clock which is broken??

When that ctsy/clock fuse is pulled I have a hugh drop in my pull from my batt., But I still have a sight drain. I have pulled everything on my fusebox one at a time. I have my alternator totally disconnected and there is nothing else running directly to batt. One other thing I might mention is that there is an aftermarket radio, amp. (I am pretty sure they were disconn at the fusebox) And there is an electric fan(but that should only be running with the key on? right?

ANy suggestions on where to go from here would be greatly appreciated

Maybe a glove box or console light stays on? Just a thought.. Do you have wiring diagram for it?

Re: Battery drain problem

Sometimes a starter will drain the battery. Unhook the main feeds from the starter and tie them together. Does it go away?

My 1999 z28 had this problem and I found the glove box light was on when the door was closed, my 7 year old found this one night !. Had to place a small piece of plastic in the glove box to help activate the switch now all OK !
