i've never gotten better than 23-24 cross country highway with cruise on.

now that i've got the stall and a heavy foot im averaging about 14 city and i dunno highway

 

i avg 17city (pulled out 23mpg city by doing 1 (20mph) to 4th (45mph) to 6th) and highway is usually 27mpg and 25mpg (a/c or windows down) 1996 z28 M6 with 150k miles

 

I average about 20 city driving. I did a little road trip last weekend. 200 miles with most at around 70 and got 28 mpg.

 

Anyone notice a pattern here - the WORST MPG numbers seem to be racked up by those with NJ in the profile.

Northern NJ for me. "City" or "around town" to us is NOT the same as "city" to the midwest.

 

i define around town is at least 1 light every mile or so.

 

ok i define city/town driving as a light or stop sign no more than every 1/3rd of a mile to like one every 400 feet
if you can cruise at a steady speed in overdrive for over 5 minutes thats highway to me... or main roading
