today in my 95 z. had replace one before w/ a GE 4351 from advance auto. took the bulb out and what do i find? GE is doing the same mod we are doing with the headlight housings. the bulb that came out was off the shelf at walmart twist in type just glued into the housing

I found this out myself, they're H9005 and H9006 bulbs inside the glass housings. Unfortunately for me, when I replaced them, they weren't nearly as bright as the direct replacement assemblies. This may have just been because I was using street glow "HID" bulbs. I got em on discount where I worked at the time so I tried it out. I've since canned them and got the full assembly headlights. Try it out with something like the silverstars or some decent halogens and let me know how they work though, I sure do hate spending 25 bucks a light when they burn up.
