Assistance Appreciated - 1996/2002 SS Research

I'd appreciate some assistant if you don't mind on the 1996/1997 Camaro SS :-)

I'm researching information on 1996 & 1997 Camaro SS's and while the Z28 for both years had:

(Std) M6 - 3:42 gears
(opt) A4 - 2.73 gears
(opt) A4 - 3.23 gears (w/ GU5)

I have seen the following for 1996 & 1997 SS's :

A4 - 3.23 (w/ GU5)
M6 - 3.42

However have not been able to locate ANY 1996's nor 1997 SS's with a factory :

A4 - 2.73
or any other factory combination.

Am I then correct to assume that the 1996 & 1997 SS option only had :

A4 - 3.23 (w/ GU5)
M6 - 3.42

and that if the 1996/1997 Z28 was optioned with SS when it had the A4 - 2.73 that it would be changed to an A4 - 3.23 (w/ GU5) ?

Much appreciated,

Paul

got my answer :-)

Perhaps another question..

On the 1998 Camaro SS:

1. What exhaust came factory? (Single outlet, or dual) and how was it positioned? (one on left, or 1 pipe per side, or similar to z28's rectangle outlets [1 per side], or another way?

2 What exhaust came when the Performance Exhaust was ordered for the SS? (Single outlet, or dual) and how was it positioned? (2OTl, one on left, or 1 pipe per side, or similar to z28's rectangle outlets [1 per side], or another way?

Thanks.

It wouldn't make any sense to send an A4 Z28 without the GU5 "performance rear axle" option to SLP for conversion. With the GU2 rear, in addition to the gears, they would have to upgrade to the 155 MPH speedometer, and the shifter cover that allowed manual selection of "1", then reprogram the PCM.
