Anyone know what this is?

Took off part of my lower dash to get to the top of the gas pedal and this fell out. I have no idea what it is. I was thinking maybe an alarm but I see no other signs of one on the car..

Please let me know if you have any idea. It has a red LED, a push button switch, and a small plug that looks like it connects to some sort of computer?

Damn government watchdogs, guy can't even work under the dash without the remote mind control device dropping out!

I agree with the other post, aftermarket remote start or possibly an alarm with the pushbutton being a valet override.

In any case, since its not an "engine" part, lets move this to "General........" tech.
