Anyone hear of FLP headers?
Re: Anyone hear of FLP headers?
You might want to add a "signature" with the year of your car, tranny type and any major mods. With a post like this on "General F-Body Tech", you could be talking about virtually any F-Body ever made.
FLP is a relatively popular manufacturer of "complete" LT header systems, at least for the LT1's. Complete, fully coated LT's, dual bullet cats and Y-pipe, all fully cera-metallic coated, for a fairly high price.
I put "FLP headers" in the search field, and found hundereds fo posts.....

Re: Anyone hear of FLP headers?
FLPs are nice headers - but they no longer make them anymore. I have heard bad things about the coating on them. Reason they stopped making them was because it would take a very long time for them to send them out to their coater, and get them back for the customer.
Re: Anyone hear of FLP headers?
I have them on my car. If I were you, I'd get the Kook's instead. FLP's make sparkplug access almost impossible and yes, the coating is subpar, in my opinion. I've had mine on my car for about three years and there are rust spots down by the collector. Oh yeah, and MTI had to take a ball peen hammer to the inside of one of the primaries to get it to clear a sparkplug when they were installing them.
Re: Anyone hear of FLP headers?
Mine have been on my car for right at 2 years. I have never had a problem out of them. I just did the spark plug swap and they were never in the way. They have roughly 30k on them and look like the day they were put on.
