Any idea as to what could've caused this?
Any idea as to what could've caused this?
I've been hearing a bit of a grinding sound...like something rubbing against something else....seemingly coming from my front right side when I make right turns. But it didn't do it all the time, actually it hadn't been doing much at all lately. It's been like that since about early September, I'd say, but I didn't get to bring it around to a shop to take a look at it. I was in having my oil changed on Monday and told him to take a look and see if he could tell if anything looked out of place up there, but he said he'd take it for a ride to see if he could hear it himself. Well, as it turns out, it was coming from the rear of the car (could've sworn it was up front) and it was the E-brake cable rubbing against the back of the wheel or the brake caliper or something......he said it could've been doing that for a hell of a long time and it just wasn't showing up until a few months after I had the car....I had originally thought it was something broken in the suspension because I first noticed it after I went over a few bumps in the road. Anyway, he was able to make it so the cable was away from the wheel and I haven't heard the noise since.
Any idea why that cable would be rubbing against the wheel like that?

Maybe a clip that holds it in place popped off. Just simply tie it back so that it is free from the wheel and free from any moving suspension parts. Zip tie it or use metal hose clamps.
