AC removed - what plugs to use?

I just pulled my AC out and figure I should plug the 2 holes going into the black box on the firewall. What have you guys used to plug them? What size are they anyway? I want it too look decent too since I'm trying to clean up under the hood. What a difference with it out.

Are you planning on getting rid of the EVAP core at some point in the future?
If so then don,t worry about it, otherwise just throw a strip of duct tape over em.

I had a buddy of mine machine a block of aluminum to fit them. It was just a rectangular block that had the two holes in the back and a small through hole to attach it in the center. I painted it black and it looked pretty good.

Re: AC removed - what plugs to use?

I'm not planning on pulling the EVAP although it would clean it up quite a bit more. The tape is a good short term solution and I'll do that but I wanted it to look nice. Any idea on what size thread? I was thinking of ordering some red or blue thread plugs actually.

Machining a block like that sounds pretty cool but more work than I'm planning on doing. I still have several more mods to finish up in the next 2 weeks before I'll put it back on the roads so I won't have the time.

Thanks for the ideas guys!

If I remember correctly, they are not threaded. They just have a groove with an o-ring in it. You could probably find a vacuum cap to fit it.

Re: AC removed - what plugs to use?

I just took another look and I've got threads on mine. 2 different sizes actually. I didn't pull off that thick block that they threaded into since I can see some valves in there that I don't want to mess with. Maybe that's what you had removed? The block I'm talking about is where the 2 lines connect before going into the big black housing.

Thanks
