When AC or defroster is turned on there is a loud sqeal ( sounds like a cat ) Does this mean that the compressor is bad or the belt is loose ? sounds fine when AC is not on...thanks

 

have someone check the compressor clutch assembly. having mine replaced now. had the belt off of it since fall. sometimes it works backward where it will make a noise until you turn the defroster/ac on. good luck.
