AC problem - what do you think this is?

Okay guys, here's the problem.

Today I went to use my car (first time in a week or so) and it's HOT out. Anyway, the AC started working fine, then start blowing warm air after 5 minutes. So, I end up going to the post office - car sat maybe 5 minutes. Start it up again, same thing. Cold air for 5 minutes, then hot. Finally, I make one more stop and it does the same thing. When I got home, I can see the compressor is not turning.

Any idea what this is? Could it just be that I need a recharge?

If the ac gets cold, yo have plenty of freon in the system. I would check the drain on the evaporator box - a quick check would be to run the ac at idle and see if you have a puddle of water under the car. If not, you need to clear the drain (don't ask how I know!) - a piece of wire or 1/4" wood dowel will clear the drain unless there are large pieces of junk blocking the drain.
