81 Camaro windows

I am looking to modify my '81 camaro power window system to operate like the newer models. I have always had issues with the windows "dragging" on the rear of the door frame and rubbing on the T-top during opening and closing the doors. The new camaro windows roll down slightly when you open the door and roll up once closed... any one have any ideas...

Welcome to CamaroZ28.com!

Not an easy question... I doubt anyone here has done it. But you will have better luck with this posted on the "General 67-02 F-Body Tech" forum rather than in "New Member Intor". I will copy it there for you.

At the very least you wiil need the late model "window control module" and wire it into your car. The problem is, that it is most likely part of the "body control module" for the late model car and that will make the wiring much harder. You should start by getting the wiring diagrams for the late model car and see what is involved.

Thanks I figured it would be a head ache but worth a shot... i will start with fresh pins and hinges to help the problem in the first place...
