1997 camaro air bag light on
do any of you have details on where all the airbag body sensors and connectors are located? i'm thinking something must be disconnected somewhere. i checked shoebox's site, didn't find anything other than a pic of the connector under the steering column. i'm sure it isn't that because there's been literally nothing touched anywhere close to that area of the car. in the meantime, i'm going to look at my factory service manual to see if it can help me.

god i love the FSM... of course i looked in the index for 'air bag' and eventually realized they call this the 'supplemental inflatable restraint' (SIR) system.

ok, so ghost in the machine? no idea... air bag light was still on today, drove the car to get emission tested (passed) and registered, then on the way home it was off. stayed off until i made a left turn on to my street then it came on again, then when i got in the garage and shut it off, i turned the key to on and watched the light. flashed 6 times, then a 7th and stayed lit. turned the key off, then back on, flashed 6 times and went out. weird.
